Welcome to the Miami Coalition Against Breed Specific Legislation website. MCABSL is a Miami based organization fighting for all the voiceless canines targeted by Breed Specific Legislation. Our goal is to remove BSL from Miami Dade County and to continue fighting against similar legislation throughout our country. We believe in enforcing stronger laws that protect all dogs, no matter the breed. As we grow in members, we remain united and vow to win this battle and save the lives of those who love us unconditionally.

 

In Miami-Dade County, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers and their Mixes are illegal but in other parts of the Country and the World, many other breeds are affected by BSL. Director’s Message:
On behalf of all the Board Members, Regional Directors, Board of Advisors and most importantly… the dogs…we thank you from the bottom of our Pittie hearts for your support and dedication to this cause. Remember that BSL affects over 75 different breeds of dogs in our great nation. Together we have accomplished bringing about education and awareness to the masses that were blinded by fear and ignorance. Countless lives have been spared and will continue to be saved. Our relentless efforts can only be matched by the compassion we feel for these animals.

Look deep within your soul and listen… to them; the elderly, the children and the animals; the children possess the untainted truth …the elderly the wisdom of their years and the animals, the secret of unconditional compassion. With this in mind and hearts, let us go forward into the New Year with the determination and belief that BSL will be a thing of the past!
